We Celebrated our 60th Anniversary in 2018

Our family Corn Merchants business has been trading since 1958. There are three Partners Paul Cox, Matthew Cox and Robert Cox.

With effect from 1st June 2013, we added a new company, A L Cox & Sons Ltd. Directors Paul Cox, Matthew Cox and Robert Cox continue to run both companies alongside each other. All our Trading is carried out under our new Ltd Company and our Haulage continues to run under the Partnership A L Cox & Sons.

Predominantly centered on the trading of combinable crops such as cereals, pulses and oilseeds we have a large supplier base from which to source our commodities. We run our own transport fleet to deliver to export facilities, flour mills, compounders, malsters, crushers and the biofuel industry. Thus giving us maximum control over our collection and delivery operation.

We have two operating centres for our transport at Metheringham and Martin Moor and we hold a full National Operators Licence which enables us to do haulage.

We are members of the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC) and hold current authorisation under the Code of Practice for Merchanting, Haulage and Storage Codes of Practice.

We are able to offer contracts for Malting Barley, Linseed & Oilseed Rape and for Industrial Oilseeds and Energy Crops.
